As the world focuses on “Japanese cuisine,” this rice is being served in high-end Japanese restaurants abroad and is gaining attention. It’s not only perfect for sushi, but also pairs well with bento, onigiri, and donburi dishes.

“Inawashiro Tennotsubu” is a brand of rice produced using the original variety “Inawashiro Tennotsubu” which was completed by Fukushima Prefecture in 2011, and cultivated according to a unique manual developed by Inawashiro Town.

It was thought to be difficult to cultivate rice in areas with high altitudes like Inawashiro Town, but when local producers actually attempted cultivation, they achieved yields equal to or greater than conventional rice without losing to diseases or cold. Furthermore, the town’s unique efforts have resulted in delicious rice.

(1) Rinsing Rice

(2) Adjusting Water Level

  • 【For Rice】
      • Use the rice cooker’s scale as a guideline for adding water.
  • 【For Sushi】
      • Add 360ml of water for every 300g. Use the same ratio for curry, donburi, or other dishes to your preference.

(3) After Cooking

Rice grains stand firm and shine bright when done. Insert a rice paddle around to detach the rice from the pot surface. Make a crosswise cut and gently fluff it up by swapping the top and bottom
