Instructions
- remove salt: Soak in water (ratio of at least 1:5 menma to water)
- Boil 10L of water in a pot, turn off heat and add 2kg Menma. Soak for 1 hour. Salt 1% – 1.5% after first soak
- Discard the water, and repeat. (Boil 10L of water in a pot, turn off heat and add Menma. Soak for 1 hour). Almost no remaining salt after second soak.
- Discard the water. Soak in additional water until desired texture.
- Season to taste by boiling or stir frying with soy sauce, etc.
